We know axe throwing sounds and looks a little crazy, but anyone can learn how to throw an axe and make it stick. Safety is our number one priority and great care is taken to make it not only safe but fun for everybody involved. Axe throwing is pretty easy to learn, and most people have never thrown an axe before. By the end of their session, they are hitting bullseyes.

How Long does it take?

Reservations are taken over the phone and are built around 1 hour sessions. Be sure to arrive 15-30 minutes early to order your drinks and sign your waiver. After a tutorial, you will be well versed in proper technique, safety measures, and how to compete. Please call ahead for walk-ins to ensure availability and COVID-19 compliance.

How much does it cost?

The cost for a 1-hour axe throwing session is $28 per person for walk-ins and reservations. Reservations are highly recommended, due to a guaranteed time and WATL certified coach. Reservations require a 50% deposit and the balance will be paid on the way out.

How old do I have to be?

There is no exact minimum age, but you must be able to hold and throw an axe. Adult supervision is required for anyone under age of 18!

Can we watch for fun?

Yes! Many people want to spend time with friends or family but may be unable or unwilling to throw and have a great time! However due to occupancy restrictions related to COVID-19 we do need to plan ahead so please contact us by email if your party will be larger than the group throwing axes so we can plan accordingly.

Do you have leagues?

Yes, we have leagues. Leagues run every season under the WATL, spring, summer, fall, and winter. Check out www.worldaxethrowingleague.com for more info. Our leagues are unique besides you compete as an individual against the best axe throwers in the world! Test your aim and your precision with 8 weeks of axe throwing leading up a playoff. We are currently taking sign ups for leagues!!! Contact us for the most up to date info and schedules. Free t-shirt plus 30 minutes of practice time every week!

What should i wear?

All guests are required to wear closed toed shoes. Otherwise, wear whatever you are most comfortable in; this is a sport.

Do you provide training and how long does it take?

Yes, we provide training. We go over safety protocols then dive into hands training for all throwers. This time includes reviewing safety procedures, signing your waivers, reviewing rules and instructions.

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes, axe throwing is safe. Safety is our number one priority. Our facility is a very controlled environment and each guest who participates must undergo a safety briefing and training before theyare allowed into the lanes. If any guest in a throwing lane is not following the rules, we reserve the right to ask that person to leave with no refund.

Can we take photos and videos?

Yes, we encourage you to have fun and take all of the photos and videos you want. We only ask that you tag us and use #axesandales_585 on social media.

Do YOu serve alcohol and food?

At the moment we are still in the building process of the kitchen! Bar is open with 12 rotating and locally curated options on the tap. Plenty of domestics, ciders, meads and wine to choose from as well.

Axe throwing leagues

leagues run under the WATL, www.worldaxethrowingleague.com with Four sessions throughout the year that run concurrently with every other WATL axe throwing facility. You generate points which are uploaded to the national database which will eventually allow you to compete regionally, nationally, and worldwide.

we have Axe throwing leagues and you don’t need to be a pro to join, just passionate about the game and interested in improving.

How Long are leagues?

Leagues are 8 weeks of play (7 weeks of tournaments and 1 week of playoffs). Playoffs involve the top 16 throwers from the season competing in a double elimination tournament.

When do leagues play?

Axes & Ales leagues are 8 weeks long and will commence when we get 16 people to sign up!!! WATL leagues start quarterly.

How much does it cost?

$150 per person per season for the Axes&Ales league.

Can I Win anything?

A great time meeting new people, networking and throwing axes for dimes on the dollar.
